Tradition and the avant-garde mix perfectly in one of southern Sweden's most beautiful cities: discover the charms of Malmö on this guided walking tour.

Malmö Walking Tour Itinerary

After meeting your guide on the esplanade in front of Malmö Central Station, you will begin your guided walking tour of the Swedish city's historic centre.

Your first stop will be the main square, where the Malmö Rådhus, or Old Town Hall, is located. This red-brick building has witnessed significant events since its construction in the 16th century.

Continue exploring the historic centre, which was once one of Denmark's largest cities before becoming part of Sweden in the 17th century, reaching St Peter's Church. Built in the 14th century, it is Malmö's oldest place of worship and its oldest preserved brick building.

Next, head to Malmö Castle. Explore the 16th century fortress, historically one of Denmark's key strongholds, while your guide shares intriguing myths and legends associated with it.

Concluding your exploration of Malmö's old quarter, you will experience the striking contrasts of the city as you approach the harbour area. Here, admire the Turning Torso, an avant-garde skyscraper designed by architect Santiago Calatrava.

At the end of your guided tour, you will return to your original meeting point.
