4x4 Tour and Hike in the Mampituba Canyons

Description

At the scheduled time, we will gather at the Sítio Cultural Museu da Estância. From there, we will board a robust 4x4 vehicle to kick off our adventure in the canyons of Mampituba. Get ready for an exhilarating journey!

Our expedition will take us on a route stretching approximately 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) across the ancient and rugged landscape of the Serra do Silveirão, a region steeped in fascinating tales and myths that we will unveil as we travel.

The next phase of our 4x4 adventure includes a stop at the Josafez farm, where we will disembark for a hiking trail measuring about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) along the eastern rim of Josafez canyon. This area, known as Garganta do Silveirão, boasts stunning natural scenery, featuring the picturesque Lage waterfall and the Teimosa waterfall, along with a variety of local flora and fauna.

After our hiking experience, we will re-enter our 4x4 to return to our starting location. During our return, we will pause at the Avião viewpoint, which showcases breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding terrain. Furthermore, we will explore the mysterious stone cemetery of the area, adding an element of curiosity to our expedition.

Approximately four hours after we began, we will wrap up our exploration of the Mampituba canyons back at the initial meeting point.
