If you're in Mampituba, you cannot miss this day trip to the Itaimbezinho Canyon- see incredible landscapes with epic rock walls and beautiful waterfalls.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Sítio Cultural Museu da Estância. From there, we'll depart for the Itaimbezinho Canyon, a key natural site in southern Brazil.

After an hour's drive, we'll arrive at the foot of the Serra do Faxinal, where the Tropeiros Route begins. We'll explore the history of the tropeiros during a 3-kilometer (1.8 miles) walk along the canyon to the Elbow viewpoint.

From this viewpoint, experience the Itaimbezinho canyon with towering walls up to 700 meters (2,296 feet) high, a 5.8-kilometer (3.6 miles) gorge, and a maximum width of 2 kilometers (1.2 miles). After enjoying these views, we'll continue with a 1.5-kilometer (0.9 miles) walk to the Vértice viewpoint, where you will see the Andorinhas and Véu da Noiva waterfalls.

The tour also includes a visit to the Casa da Vó Maria, built in 1945, now a craft store offering snacks and drinks.

After visiting Casa da Vó Maria, we will return to the trekking route's starting point. Our vehicle will take us back to the meeting point in Mampituba, where we'll arrive 6 hours after pickup.
