Mampituba Waterfalls 4x4 Tour and Hike

In this hiking route through the Mampituba waterfalls, we'll go to the most famous waterfalls of Rio Grande do Sul aboard a 4x4 vehicle.

Description

At your selected time, we'll meet at the Sítio Cultural Museu da Estância, where we'll begin our 4x4 tour of Mampituba and its waterfalls.

We'll begin by traversing an area of lush forests and banana trees before arriving at our first stop. Here, we'll embark on a 1.6-kilometre (1 mile) hiking trail that will take us to the Leite waterfall. This waterfall, located next to the Itaimbezinho Canyon, cascades into a natural pool.

Then, we'll return to the 4x4 to continue our route through the landscapes of Mampituba and move to the second stop. There, we'll enjoy another hiking trail, spanning around 2 kilometres (1.2 miles), culminating in the Cipó waterfall.

In this waterfall, near the border of Rio Grande do Sul/Santa Catarina, you'll have about 20 minutes to take a refreshing dip. The weather in this area of southern Brazil is pleasant, making this opportunity to relax after the hike enjoyable.

Finally, we'll walk back to the trailhead, where the 4x4 vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Mampituba, arriving approximately 2 hours after pickup.
