Mampituba Waterfalls 4x4 Tour and Hike

In this hiking route through the Mampituba waterfalls, we'll go to the most famous waterfalls of Rio Grande do Sul aboard a 4x4 vehicle.

Description

At your selected time, we'll meet at the Sítio Cultural Museu da Estância, where we'll begin our 4x4 tour of Mampituba and its waterfalls.

We will first traverse an area of lush forests and banana trees before arriving at our first stop. Here, we will embark on a 1.6-kilometre (1 mile) hiking trail that leads to the Leite waterfall, situated next to the Itaimbezinho Canyon, which cascades into a natural pool.

We will return to the 4x4 to continue through the landscapes of Mampituba, moving to the second stop. There, we will enjoy another hiking trail, spanning around 2 kilometres (1.2 miles), culminating at the Cipó waterfall.

At this waterfall, close to the border of Rio Grande do Sul/Santa Catarina, you'll have about 20 minutes to take a refreshing dip. The weather in this area of southern Brazil is often pleasant, making this an ideal break after the hike.

Finally, we will walk back to the trailhead, where the 4x4 vehicle will be waiting to return us to Mampituba, scheduled for arrival approximately 2 hours after pickup.
