2 Day Amazon Tour

Day 1 - Río Negro

On the first day, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Manaus to start this two-day adventure through the Amazon jungle. We'll travel by car to the region of Cachoeira do Castanho. Upon arrival, we'll board a motorized canoe for a two-and-a-half-hour hike guided by a local expert who will identify various wildlife and fauna along the route.

After the hike, we'll stop for lunch at a floating house along the Amazon River. The menu may include fish, chicken, rice, beans, spaghetti, and manioc flowers. You can swim in the river or enjoy the view during lunch. Afterward, we'll visit a pink dolphin research center to meet these friendly creatures and later fish for piranhas. We will conclude the day by canoeing to catch the sunset and spot nocturnal wildlife.

We will stay the night with a local family in the Amazonian jungle.

Day 2 - Amazon

We will begin early to catch a sunrise over the jungle, followed by breakfast. The second day will involve navigating a longer distance using a faster boat. Our first stop will be an indigenous village to learn about their culture and rituals. During the dry season (August to September) and part of the rainy season (January to June), we may visit one of the local beaches.

If time allows, we'll also visit the January Ecological Park and enjoy lunch at a floating restaurant. This may be followed by a hike through the flooded forest to see water lilies. In case of low water levels, lunch will occur at another restaurant along the Río Negro.

We will visit a floating village in Lago do Catalão, where we will see a fish farm featuring the Pirarucu. The tour concludes with a sail towards the confluence of Río Negro and the Amazon, returning to Manaus by approximately 5 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation in the house of a local family in an Amazon jungle village.
