2 Day Amazon Tour

Day 1 - Río Negro

On the first day, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Manaus and travel by car to Cachoeira do Castanho. Here, we'll board a motorized canoe for a two-and-a-half-hour hike, during which our guide will highlight local wildlife. After the hike, we'll have lunch at a floating house on the Amazon River, with options such as fish, chicken, rice, beans, spaghetti, and manioc flowers. After lunch, we'll visit a pink dolphin research center and later fish for piranhas. We will conclude the day by canoeing to see the sunset and possibly spot alligators before staying overnight with a local family in the jungle.

Day 2 - Amazon

The second day begins early to catch the sunrise, followed by breakfast. We will travel a longer distance using a faster boat, visiting an indigenous village to learn about their culture. Depending on the season, we may reach a beautiful beach or visit the January Ecological Park, where we will have lunch at a floating restaurant. A hike through the flooded forest will follow, and if necessary, alternative lunch arrangements will be made. We'll also visit a floating village at Lago do Catalão, known for the fish species Pirarucu (Arapaima gigas). The adventure culminates at the confluence of Río Negro and the Amazon before returning to Manaus by around 5 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation in the house of a local family in an Amazon jungle village.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in the central area of Manaus (specific hotels listed) and from hotels in the Adrianópolis neighborhood. If your hotel is outside these areas, pickup will be at the praça do Teatro Amazonas.
