2 Day Amazon Tour

Day 1 - Río Negro

The tour begins with hotel pickup in Manaus. Travel by car to Cachoeira do Castanho, then board a motorized canoe for a two-and-a-half-hour hike. A guide will point out local wildlife. After the hike, lunch will be served at a floating house with options like fish, chicken, rice, beans, spaghetti, and manioc flowers. Post-lunch, visit a pink dolphin research center, followed by fishing for piranhas. Finish the day with a sunset canoe ride and an overnight stay with a local family.

Day 2 - Amazon

Start the day early to catch the sunrise and have breakfast. Travel further using a faster boat. First, visit an indigenous village to learn about their culture. During the dry season (August-September) or part of the rainy season (January-June), a visit to a local beach may occur. If conditions allow, enjoy lunch at a floating restaurant or an alternate restaurant on the Río Negro. Explore a floating village and view the Pirarucu fish farm. End the tour at the confluence of Río Negro and Amazon before returning to Manaus by around 5 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation in the house of a local family in an Amazon jungle village.

Hotel Pickup

Pickup is available from hotels in central Manaus (e.g., Mural Living, Gran Hotel Teatro) and the Adrianópolis neighborhood. If staying outside these areas, pickup is at praça do Teatro Amazonas.
