The Peruvian coast is a prime location for whale watching, particularly in Mancora, where visitors can observe humpback whales, dolphins, and other marine life.

Whale Watching in Mancora

Participants will be picked up at your hotel in Mancora at 6:30 am for transportation to the pier, where they will board a boat for an ocean expedition.

Mancora is noted for its diverse marine life. During this activity, participants will have the opportunity to sight some of the leading cetaceans of the northern coast of Peru.

While sailing, the focus will be on spotting bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales, which can grow to 52.5 ft (16 meters) in length. These cetaceans migrate to the Peruvian coast during the summer months to reproduce and may be seen alone or in groups.

There is a chance to witness mother whales with their calves and enjoy watching the dolphins and whales jumping out of the water. Other marine species like sea lions and turtles may also be observed.

After the 3-hour whale-watching excursion, participants will return to the port and receive transportation back to their hotel in Mancora.

Whale-watching

Mancora's coast ranks among Peru's top spots for observing whales, dolphins, and other marine species. However, animal sightings can be unpredictable, influenced by factors such as weather conditions and the breeding seasons of the various species.
