Whale Watching Adventure in Mancora

Our journey begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Mancora at the designated time, leading us to the pier, where a boat awaits to set sail into the ocean.

Beyond its stunning beaches, Mancora is renowned for its rich marine ecosystem. During this excursion, our focus will be on identifying some of the prevalent cetaceans found along the northern coast of Peru.

While we navigate the waters, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales, notable for being among the largest species globally. Did you know that these magnificent creatures can reach lengths of up to 52.5 ft (16 meters)?

In the summer months, these majestic whales migrate to the Peruvian shores to breed, often seen either alone or in pods. With a bit of luck, we might even get a glimpse of a mother whale and her calves!

Prepare to delight in the sight of dolphins and whales leaping above the surface. There’s also a chance we may encounter other fascinating marine life such as sea lions and turtles!

Following this engaging 3-hour whale-watching adventure, we will return to the port and ensure you're taken back to your hotel in Mancora.

Whale Observations

The Mancora coastline ranks among the premier locations in Peru for witnessing whales, dolphins, and other marine fauna. Yet, it's important to note that animal sightings can be unpredictable. The likelihood of encountering more or fewer creatures is influenced by several factors, including the weather and the breeding cycles of the species.
