The main sights in the Colombian department of Risaralda await on our Guática & Quinchía Day Trip from Manizales, where we will explore the culture and beauty of this region.

Guática & Quinchía Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Manizales and drive to the Department of Risaralda in northwest Colombia. Our tour will start with a 2-hour 30-minute jeep ride to Quinchía, the first village we will visit, known for its natural and cultural heritage.

We will visit the Tierras de Xixarca Archaeological Museum, which contains a collection of unique objects from the Quimbaya civilization, providing insight into this indigenous group’s history. Following the museum, we will go to a filigree workshop to observe local craftspeople making handicrafts using this goldsmithing technique.

A traditional local lunch will follow, consisting of one course and a drink. After lunch, we will continue to Guática, a town founded in 1638, recognized for its silk production, where we will learn about the silk-making process and have time for shopping before returning to Manizales, dropping you back at your hotel around 4 pm.
