Your journey begins at 7 am, when we will collect you from your accommodation in Manizales and travel towards the Risaralda Department, where two remarkable locations await your discovery.

Our first destination is the El Guásimo Nature Reserve. Nestled between the Cauca and Risaralda rivers, this reserve plays a vital role in safeguarding the area's rich biodiversity. Covering 1400 hectares, with 400 hectares designated as a rare dry tropical forest, it stands out as the only one of its type within the Andean region.

Upon arrival, we will engage in a 3-hour hike amidst the vibrant flora. This trek will lead us to the banks of the Cauca River, followed by an additional hour of exploration. After this invigorating walk, we'll take a pause to enjoy a traditional local lunch, featuring a main dish and a drink to replenish our energy.

Next, our adventure continues as we head to the town of La Virginia, home to the El Guásimo Nature Reserve. During our stay, you'll gain insight into how the local community thrives through their coffee and fruit tree plantations.

As the day concludes, we will return to Manizales, ensuring you are back at your hotel around 1 pm.
