Otún Quimbaya Sanctuary Hiking Trip

Pick-up will be at your hotel in Manizales at the designated time, followed by a trip south to the Otún Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary in Risaralda.

After a two-hour drive, we will reach this nature reserve in the Cordillera Central of the Andean Region of Colombia. This protected area aims to conserve various species of birds, insects, small mammals, and plants, with some species at risk of extinction.

We will embark on a 2 km walk through the Andean rainforest, an easy route allowing us to appreciate the lush landscapes of this ecosystem.

During the walk, a regional lunch will be provided, including a meal and a drink.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a peaceful nature walk.

Opportunities to observe exotic birds such as the moustached tororoi, multicoloured tanager, and Torrentes paca, along with mammals like monkeys, silver foxes, and wolf guaguas, will be available.

At the end of the trip, we will return to Manizales, and you will be dropped off at your hotel after a total of 7 hours.
