Hiking Expedition to Santa Isabel Volcano

Your adventure begins at 4 am with a prompt pickup from your hotel in Manizales, followed by a scenic drive towards the Nevado de Santa Isabel. Throughout the journey, you'll be treated to stunning mountain landscapes, including geological formations, cascading waterfalls, and lush primary forests that define this striking region of Colombia.

Weather permitting, keep an eye out for the Andean condor soaring above, highlighting the rich biodiversity found in this elevated area near Villa María. The Nevado de Santa Isabel is adorned with numerous glacial lakes and boasts one of the nation's most extensive glacier systems.

A mid-journey pause will allow you to stretch and enjoy breakfast before continuing our ascent to the residual glaciers of the Nevado de Santa Isabel. Be prepared for a challenging trek, which includes approximately three hours of ascent followed by two hours of descent, all under the guidance of a qualified expert.

Upon reaching the highest accessible point, we will begin our descent, taking in the unparalleled vistas unique to Colombia's landscape. Once we return to the base, a satisfying lunch awaits, after which we will travel back to Manizales, with an estimated arrival at your hotel around 7 pm.
