Upon reservation, you have the option to select from three unique tours, which all commence from the vibrant central square, Piazza Sordello.

Mantua Tour (2 hours)

Choosing this option means embarking on a two-hour journey through the historic center of Mantua. Our exploration begins at the courtyards and gardens of the Doge's Palace, where we will uncover the influences of the Gonzaga lineage.

We’ll then stroll through the charming old town, passing medieval squares such as Piazza Broletto, home to the Palazzo del Podestà and the Arengario arch. Our route leads us to the Basilica di Sant'Andrea, crafted by the renowned architect Aberti, who also designed the façade of the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella in Florence. The tour wraps up at the lively Piazza delle Erbe.

Timetable: Available Monday to Friday at 10 am and 3 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am.

Mantua Tour + Doge's Palace (3 hours)

This tour includes access to the interior of the Doge's Palace, not just its exterior gardens. Remarkably, this site is often referred to as a palace-city due to its extensive layout, encompassing over 35,000 square meters!

One highlight within the Doge's Palace is the San Giorgio Castle, home to the exquisite Chamber of the Spouses or Camera degli Sposi. Here, you will discover the captivating details of its vibrant 15th-century frescoes.

Following our exploration inside the palace, we will take a two-hour walk through the main thoroughfares of Mantua, concluding once again at Piazza delle Erbe.

Timetable: Offered Monday to Friday at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm; Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 am.

Mantua Tour + Doge's Palace and Te Palace (5 hours)

This is the most extensive option available. After touring the Doge's Palace and enjoying the Mantuan streets, we will proceed to another must-visit site: the Te Palace. Did you know it was established in 1524?

Designed as a place for leisure and inspired by the ancient Roman villa model, the Te Palace is attributed to Giulio Romano, a prominent student of Raphael. During our visit, we will explore its various rooms, adorned with centuries-old frescoes. Highlights include The Hall of the Horse, the Chamber of Love, Psyche, and the Hall of the Giants. The experience concludes with a stop outside Te Palace.

Museum closures

Be aware that the Te Palace remains closed on Tuesdays, while the Doge's Palace is not open to visitors on Mondays.
