Maputo Special Reserve Tour

At 6:00 am we'll leave the Mozambican capital when we set off from 417 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue.

Onboard a 4x4 we'll drive through Catembe and other towns in the south of Mozambique. After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at Puerta Futi: the main entrance to the Maputo Special Reserve (the entrance fee, 15 US dollars per person, is not included).

Once we enter this protected natural area (77,400 hectares), our safari will begin. We'll have the chance to admire a range of native African animals: elephants, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, and impalas, along with various birds.

The first part of the tour will end with a light lunch. We'll enjoy a picnic next to Lake Munde, where we can see different kinds of birds that fly over this lagoon.

After lunch, our safari will continue towards Lake Xinguti. We'll stop on its shores to have coffee and observe the hippos and wading birds.

At the end of the day, we'll return to the starting point in Maputo, arriving around 2:30 pm. To enhance the return journey, we'll hold a quiz on African wildlife onboard the truck.
