On this hiking route along the coast of Mar del Plata, we'll discover the urban nature reserves located in this area of the province of Buenos Aires.
Description
We'll meet at the Centro Comercial del Puerto shopping center, located next to the docks of Mar del Plata. Together with a Spanish-speaking guide, we'll follow a low-difficulty route beginning with a visit to the Mar del Plata Port Nature Reserve, home to a colony of sea lions.
After learning about this urban nature reserve, we'll observe the ecosystem extending to the lagoons of Punta Mogotes. As we walk along the coastal area, we'll explore the environmental richness and human transformations over time. The guide will share stories about the evolution of these landscapes. A picnic including a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of mineral water will be provided.
We'll then return by walking along the extensive beaches of Punta Mogotes. The last stop will be at the Museo del Hombre del Puerto, where we'll explore the historical, cultural, and environmental evolution of the coast of Mar del Plata and its reserves over the decades.
The tour will conclude after 4 hours of activity as we return to the meeting point.
