On this hiking route along the coast of Mar del Plata, we'll discover the urban nature reserves located in this area of the province of Buenos Aires.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Centro Comercial del Puerto shopping center, located next to the docks of Mar del Plata.

Once assembled, we'll embark on a hiking route to explore the urban nature reserves on the coast of Mar del Plata. A Spanish-speaking guide will lead us on a low-difficulty route, beginning with a visit to the Mar del Plata Port Nature Reserve, known for its colony of sea lions.

After gaining insights into this urban nature reserve, we'll observe how the ecosystem extends to the lagoons of Punta Mogotes. During our coastal walk, we will examine the environmental richness of the area and its human-induced transformations over time. The guide will share stories about the landscape's evolution. A picnic will be provided, consisting of a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of mineral water.

We'll then return to the starting point by walking along the extensive beaches of Punta Mogotes. The final stop will be the Museo del Hombre del Puerto, where we will further learn about the historical, cultural, and environmental evolution of the coast of Mar del Plata and its reserves over the decades.

The tour concludes as we return to the meeting point after 4 hours of activity.
