Maratea Private Tour

Your guide will meet you at the fountain on Piazza Biagio Vitolo to commence your private tour of Maratea, situated in the Gulf of Policastro. The first stop is the statue of Christ the Redeemer on Mount San Biagio, an iconic sculpture made by Bruno Innocenti between 1963 and 1965. This statue stands 21 metres high and is constructed from white cement and Carrara marble.

Next, visit the Basilica of San Biagio, which houses the relics of the city's patron saint. Inside, observe the 15th-century fresco of the Madonna del Melograno, a marble tabernacle from 1519, and an ancient stone baptismal font dating back to the 15th-16th century.

Your tour will conclude with a walk through the medieval village, where you can stroll along narrow streets and view historical buildings.

After the two-hour tour, you will bid farewell to your guide.
