On this tour, we'll paddle surf around Marina del Rey while learning about sea lions and observing these creatures. This unique experience is a must for visitors in LA!

Paddle Surfing with Sea Lions

At the selected time, we'll gather at Marina del Rey and walk a few yards to Mother's Beach, where we'll begin a two-hour paddleboard tour of this area of Los Angeles.

First, we will provide a brief introduction on how to handle the boards, after which we will head out into the Pacific waters. As we paddle around the harbor, we'll see fishing boats and spot many sea lion colonies resting on the docks.

Participants will learn various interesting facts about these animals, including that they have external ears, which allows them to swim at shallower depths than seals. We may also hear the distinctive sounds they use to communicate.

While paddling, we can expect to see dozens of hawks, seagulls, and pelicans, as well as potentially friendly dolphins in the waters.

Finally, we will return to the beach to conclude the paddle surf experience.
