2-Day Zagora Desert Trip

If you're in Marrakech for longer than a weekend break, there is nothing more authentic than a desert trip where you spend the night in a traditional Amazigh tent.

2-Day Trip Details

Day 1: Ait Ben Haddou - Draâ Valley - Zagora

On the first day, departure from Marrakech to Zagora occurs at the specified time. The route includes the Tizi-N-Tichka mountain pass, offering views of various Amazigh villages. A brief stop will be made at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah before continuing to Zagora, crossing the Anti Atlas and passing the Amazigh village of Agdez and the Draâ Valley, the last sign of vegetation before the desert.

The tour arrives in Zagora with time for a camel ride and to enjoy the desert sunset. After a traditional dinner, overnight accommodation will be in an authentic Amazigh tent.

Day 2: Zagora - Draâ Valley - Ouarzazate

On day two, wake up early to experience daybreak in the desert. After breakfast and a shower, a 40-minute camel ride through the desert will take place. The route retraces through the Draâ Valley and Agdez to Ouarzazate, where a visit to the Taourit Kasbah is included.

The group returns to Marrakech in the late afternoon, with the option to eat in Ouarzazate or on the return journey.

Accommodation Types

For bookings, you can choose between two accommodation types:

The standard camp accommodates a maximum of 5 people, with bathrooms and showers in common tents. The superior camp accommodates a maximum of 4 people and includes private bathrooms. Accommodations will not be shared with other travelers. Options include double, triple, and family tents, with a single supplement applicable for solo travelers.

The standard and superior camps are separate from each other.

For those outside the Medina, free pickup is available at your hotel or riad. Hotels outside Marrakech incur an additional fee of 10 EUR or 40 EUR, depending on distance.
