5-Day Dakar Track and Merzouga Desert Trip

Day 1: Marrakesh - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate

Departure from Marrakech in the morning toward Ouarzazate, crossing the Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 meters high. Visit Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, an 800-year-old fortified city. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Tazarine – El Mharech Oasis

After breakfast, visit Taourirt Kasbah and proceed to Zagora via Tizi n-Tinifift pass at 1,600 meters. Explore Draa Valley and spend the night in a typical riad in the desert.

Day 3: Mharech - Ramlia Oasis - Ouzina Dunes - Merzouga

Follow the Dakar Rally tracks, crossing wadis and visiting Khamlia village. Arrive at Erg Chebbi and ride a camel for approximately 1.5 hours to an Amazigh camp.

Day 4: Merzourga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Witness a sunrise, then return to the jeep. Stop in Rissani and visit Todgha Gorges before heading to Dades Valley for the night.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Skoura – Marrakech

Depart Dades Valley along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura and return to Marrakech.
