5-Day Dakar Track and Merzouga Desert Trip

Day 1: Marrakesh - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate

Depart from Marrakech in the morning towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, 2,260 metres high and visiting the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, an 800-year-old fortified city. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Tazarine – El Mharech Oasis

After breakfast, visit Taourirt Kasbah and continue to Zagora via the Tizi n-Tinifift mountain pass, 1,600 meters high. Explore Draa Valley and end the day in a typical riad in the desert.

Day 3: Mharech - Ramlia Oasis - Ouzina Dunes - Merzouga

Follow the Dakar Rally tracks through villages and wadis to reach Erg Chebbi. Ride a camel for approximately one and a half hours to an Amazigh camp for the night.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Experience sunrise in the dunes, return to the jeep, and enjoy a refreshment in a hotel. Visit the town of Rissani and continue to Todgha Gorges before spending the night in Dades Valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Skoura – Marrakech

Travel along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs through the Valley of the Roses and reach the palm grove of Skoura before returning to Marrakech.
