5-Day Dakar Track & Merzouga Private Desert Trip

Immerse yourself in the depths of the Sahara Desert as you drive along the Dakar Rally track on a 5-day private trip from Marrakech.

Private Trip Details

Day 1: Marrakesh - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate

Depart from Marrakech in the morning towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, 2,260 metres high. Visit Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, an 800-year fortified city, before continuing to Ouarzazate for the night.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Tazarine – El Mharech Oasis

After breakfast, visit Taourirt Kasbah and head to Zagora via Tizi n-Tinifift mountain pass. Explore the Draa Valley and its villages before spending the night in a riad in the desert.

Day 3: Mharech - Ramlia Oasis - Ouzina Dunes - Merzouga

Follow the Dakar Rally tracks to Ouzina Dunes. Visit Khamlia village and ride camels to an Amazigh camp in Erg Chebbi after approximately one and a half hours.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Witness a sunrise in the dunes, then return by camel to the jeep. Visit Rissani, then travel to Todgha Gorges and conclude the day in Dades Valley.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Skoura – Marrakech

Depart from Dades Valley along the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs and reach Skoura before returning to Marrakech.

Both standard and luxury camps offer double and family rooms. Each haima includes a private bathroom, with triple occupancy available. Note that during peak seasons standard camps may provide shared bathrooms and air conditioning in luxury camps incurs an additional cost of 30EUR per person.
