Imlil Village and Kik Plateau Day Trip

Explore the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas on a day trip to the picturesque Imlil village and the famous Kik Plateau. An unforgettable experience!

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Marrakech. We will then travel in a 4x4 or minibus through the Imlil Valley.

Our journey begins through the Haouz plain towards the Agafay desert, an hour's drive from Marrakech. The first stop is at the man-made Lalla Takerkoust Lake.

We will continue to the settlement of Aguergour, where you will enjoy Moroccan mint tea with a local family, who will share their traditions and way of life. This visit includes exploration of the Kik Plateau.

Before reaching Imlil, we will visit the small town of Asni. If the tour occurs on Saturday, we will visit the local Amazigh market.

In Imlil, located in the High Atlas Mountains, you will embark on a walking tour with an English-speaking guide and take a 1-hour tour by mule through the scenic landscape.

We will return to Marrakech, passing various Amazigh settlements. We will stop at Aroumed to enjoy views of terraces lined with cherry and walnut trees and the highest peak in North Africa, Jebel Toubkal.

Before concluding the tour, you may have a traditional Moroccan meal in Tagadirt, at an Amazigh family's home (meal not included). After lunch, we will take a short walk around the village and then return to Marrakech.

The tour lasts 8 hours and concludes back at the starting point.
