Imlil Village and Kik Plateau Day Trip

Explore the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas on a day trip to the picturesque Imlil village and the famous Kik Plateau.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Marrakech. We'll travel through the Imlil Valley in an off-roading vehicle or minibus.

The tour begins with a drive through the Haouz plain towards the Agafay desert, stopping at Lalla Takerkoust Lake for a 30-minute camel ride or enjoy a cup of mint tea in a Berber tent. Next, visit the settlement of Aguergour to experience local traditions and enjoy Moroccan mint tea with a family. Explore the Kik Plateau to learn about their customs.

Before reaching Imlil, we'll stop at the small town of Asni and, if on Saturday, visit the local Amazigh market.

A guided tour of Imlil follows, showcasing typical buildings of the region. After an hour, we’ll return to the vehicle and pass through Berber areas like Aroumed for scenic views of cherry and walnut tree terraces and the highest peak in North Africa, Jebel Toubkal.

A traditional Moroccan meal is available in Tagadirt at an Amazigh family's home. Following lunch, we will take a short walk around the village before returning to Marrakech.

The tour concludes after 9 hours of sightseeing back at the starting point.
