Explore the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas on a day trip to the picturesque Imlil village and the famous Kik Plateau. An unforgettable experience!

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will be at your hotel in Marrakech. Then, travel in a 4x4 or minibus through the Imlil Valley.

The journey begins through the Haouz plain towards the Agafay desert, located an hour from the city. The first stop is at the man-made Lalla Takerkoust Lake, fed by water from the Grand Atlas Mountains.

Continue to the settlement of Aguergour, where you will enjoy Moroccan mint tea with a local family and learn about their traditions. Explore the Kik Plateau before visiting the small town of Asni. If the tour is on Saturday, explore the local Amazigh market.

Next, visit the village of Imlil and embark on a walking tour with an English-speaking guide. Admire the hamlet’s typical buildings and take a 1-hour tour by mule for a closer view of the scenery.

Afterward, return to Marrakech, passing various Amazigh settlements. Stop in Aroumed to see the cherry and walnut tree terraces and view Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.

Before concluding the tour, enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in Tagadirt with an Amazigh family if desired (not included). After a short walk around the village, the tour ends after 8 hours back at the starting point.
