Ouarzazate Day Trip

Are you a cinema buff? Would you like to get to know another Morocco outside Marrakech? Do you want to visit the most famous walled cities in the country? On this trip to Ouarzazate, you will enjoy something a little different.

Day Trip Details

Leaving Marrakech, we head towards the Grand Atlas Mountains. We cross the mountain range at Tizi n'Tichka, 2,260 metres high, appreciating the mountain passages and Berber villages.

Before reaching Ouarzazate, we pass by Aït Benhaddou, a notable walled city and filming location for Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

Upon arrival at Ouarzazate, you will have free time to eat, explore the city, visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, or the cinema museum. The tour will return to Marrakech in the late evening.

Hotel Pickup

If you're staying outside the old town, we will pick you up from your hotel or riad. A supplement of between 10EUR and 40EUR applies for pickups in the Marrakech outskirts, depending on the distance.

Closure of the Taourirt Kasbah

Due to the recent earthquake in Morocco, the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is currently closed. You can still take pictures from the outside.
