Ouarzazate Trip

Are you a cinema buff? Would you like to get to know another Morocco outside Marrakech? Do you want to visit the most famous walled cities in the country? On this trip to Ouarzazate, you will enjoy something a little different.

Itinerary

Leaving Marrakech, we head towards the Grand Atlas Mountains. We cross the mountain range at Tizi n'Tichka, 2,260 metres high, enjoying the mountain passages and Berber villages along the way.

Before arriving at Ouarzazate, we visit Aït Benhaddou, the tour's main attraction. This walled city is renowned for its film shoots including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, you will have free time to eat, explore the city, visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, or check out the cinema museum to understand why Ouarzazate is known as "Africa's Hollywood."

The tour will return to Marrakech in the late evening.

Hotel Pick Up

If you're staying outside the old town, we will pick you up from your hotel or riad. If your hotel is in the outskirts, a supplement of between $10 and $45 (€10 and €40) will apply depending on distance.

Closure of the Taourirt Kasbah

Due to a recent earthquake, the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is currently closed, but you can still take pictures from the outside.
