Prepare to encounter the colorful creatures of the bayou, including ospreys, pelicans, frogs, turtles, owls, and snakes. Meet at your chosen time on Barataria Boulevard, where we board the airboat for a tour of the swamps of the Barataria Preserve, part of Jean Lafitte National Park. Experience speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, with opportunities to slow down for scenic photographs and explore areas inaccessible by traditional vessels. The captain will share insights on the local culture and the lifestyle of fishermen living amidst alligators. The journey lasts an hour and 40 minutes.

Capacity of the Airboats

Two types of airboats are available: a standard one with a capacity of up to 16 people and a smaller one for up to 9 people, offering a more personalized experience with route and commentary.

Children Under 17

Children under 17 years are welcome if they are over 4 feet (122 centimeters) tall; those under this height cannot join the airboat.

Hotel pickup

A hotel pickup service can be arranged. Pickups occur one and a half hours before the boat ride, with a return to your New Orleans accommodation after the activity.

Oak Alley Plantation

Enhance your experience with an airboat ride and a visit to Oak Alley Plantation, which includes hotel pickup and drop-off, an English-speaking guide, and admission to the plantation. This option lasts 9 hours and begins with a guided tour of the mansion followed by the airboat ride.
