Great Pond of Marsala Kayaking Tour

This kayaking tour of the Great Pond of Marsala offers a unique experience to explore the beautiful islands of the natural reserve. Starting at Contrada Spagnola at 8:30 am, participants will embark on an 11 km circle tour to discover the charms of the Stagnone Reserve.

Before setting off, a brief session will cover paddling techniques and safety rules. Throughout the tour, participants will paddle through the lagoon, passing by islands like San Pantaleon, La Schola, Santa Maria, and Isla Grande. The route includes sightings of salt pans, golden sand beaches, and historical ruins.

There will be stops to relax and enjoy snacks including cunzato bread, fruit, and sweets. The tour also includes a visit to the island of San Pantaleon, known for its Phoenician archaeological sites and the ancient city of Motia.

The tour concludes after five hours, returning to the starting point. Participants will have gained insights into the history, wildlife, and natural beauty of the Great Pond of Marsala.
