At the designated time, we will meet inside the windmill of the Ettore e Infersa salt mines. These salt pans, located in the Stagnon Nature Reserve, serve as a vital economic resource and habitat for various migratory bird species.

The tour begins at the windmill in Infersa, where you'll learn about sea salt production and collection through videos and demonstrations. This windmill is the only operating one in the province of Trapani, dating back to the 16th century.

Afterward, we will walk along the shore of the salt pans, sharing insights about manual salt collection. This product has a Protected Geographical Indication due to its centuries-old extraction technique.

Depending on the time of day, you will experience the changing colors of the pools. At sunset, the hues contrast beautifully with the Mediterranean Sea, while during the day, sunlight enhances the landscape's surreal qualities. This setting is ideal for photography.
