We'll meet at the entrance of the salt mines in Marsala at the designated time to begin our tour. These salt pans are situated within the Stagnon Nature Reserve, serving as a vital financial source for the city and habitat for various species of migratory birds.

The tour starts at the windmill in Infersa, where you'll learn about sea salt production and collection through videos detailing its operation. This windmill is the only one still operational in the province of Trapani and dates back to the 16th century.

After this, we will stop at the salt pans of the mill, walking along the shore between different pools to discover interesting facts about manual salt collection. This product holds a Protected Geographical Indication due to its centuries-old extraction technique.

During the tour, the time of day enhances the experience with the changing colors of the pools. At sunset, pink and orange hues contrast the Mediterranean Sea, while the sunlight throughout the day highlights the salt mounds. After this 1-hour tour, we will conclude and say our goodbyes.
