Below are the specifics for each tour:
Full-Day Expedition (9 Hours)
From the gathering location, we will journey by minibus to our kayaking site. After a brief orientation on kayak handling and the use of oars, we will embark on an adventurous kayaking experience in Calanques National Park. This section of the French Riviera offers a true Mediterranean oasis with striking landscapes that will leave lasting impressions.
On the day of the tour, we'll decide among the three options available, depending on the weather forecast:
Calanques National Park: Starting from Cassis, we will explore the most renowned coves including Port Pin, En Vau, and Sugiton. As we kayak alongside towering cliffs, navigate around small islands, explore marine caves, and uncover hidden beaches, we will have multiple breaks to swim in the crystal-clear waters and relax on secluded shores only reachable by boat. Ideal for those who cherish nature and seek peace.French Riviera: Paddling from Port de la Lave or Carry-le-Rouet, contingent on conditions, we will glide along the picturesque coves of the French Riviera. This route is characterized by its tranquil azure waters and remarkable rock formations, covering a peaceful stretch between l'Estaque and Carry-le-Rouet. This area remains calm even during peak summer months and features charming fishing villages such as Niolon, La Vesce, Méjean, and La Redonne.Archipelago of Riou: From Callelongue’s compact harbor, we will head towards the wildest part of the marine park's archipelago. Our route includes sights like the Mounine cove, the islet of La Melette, and will cover Jarron, Jaïre, Calsereigne, and the stunning Ìle of Riou. This safeguarded zone serves as a haven for marine birds and migratory species. Here, we will enjoy a hidden beach and, if favorable weather permits, we’ll continue on a second coastal route in the afternoon featuring impressive vistas of the highest cliffs in the Calanques.
Morning Adventure (4 Hours)
Are you ready? First, we set sail towards the southern Maer island, where we’ll marvel at the dramatic cliffs and observe a variety of local bird species. Be on the lookout for white-throated kingfishers and seagulls!
As we paddle through the turquoise waters of these special areas, the contrast between the vibrant blues and the ochre cliffs creates a memorable visual experience.
Throughout our trip, there will be a brief pause at the Plage de Cap Croisette for you to enjoy a refreshing swim in the Mediterranean. We will then return to our starting point to conclude the journey.
Sunset Adventure (4 Hours)
This tour will follow the same route as outlined in the earlier section, but the key distinction is our extended time paddling around the southern part of Maïre Island with no beach stops. Prepare to witness landscapes illuminated by the golden sunset!
