Sault Lavender Excursion

Your journey begins at 8 am, where you'll meet your knowledgeable guide in Marseille. After a warm welcome, we will head off in a comfortable minivan, soaking in the picturesque scenery of Provence as we travel deeper into the region.

The first stop on our itinerary is Pays de Sault, a renowned area for cultivating and distilling lavender and lavandin.

Upon arrival in the village of Sault, celebrated as the “capital of lavender,” you'll have some free time to enjoy your lunch and explore the local lavender shops. This is a great opportunity to savor traditional Provencal delicacies, such as the village's nougat made with lavender honey and almonds, or indulge in some lavender ice cream.

Our lavender adventure continues with a visit to a nearby lavender producer during the distillation season. Here, you’ll gain insight into the meticulous process of crafting exquisite lavender essential oils.

After enjoying the vibrant flower fields, we will gain further understanding of the lavender distillation process used for essential oil production through our visit to the local producer.

Next on our itinerary is the iconic Luberon village of Gordes, recognized as one of “the most beautiful villages in France.” Nestled atop the Luberon, Gordes offers breathtaking views along with its historic castle and typical dry-stone structures.

Our final destination is the lavender fields of the Abbey of Senanque. Here, you'll have the chance to capture stunning photos surrounded by the rich hues of lavender against the backdrop of the serene abbey. The tranquil ambiance of this location adds a perfect conclusion to our tour.

We will return to Marseille by 6 pm.
