Sault Lavender Tour
The tour starts at 8 am when you meet your guide in Marseille. You'll travel in a minivan and enjoy views of Provence as you head to Pays de Sault, where lavender is cultivated.
In Sault, known as the “capital of lavender,” you'll have free time for lunch and to explore lavender shops. Local Provencal specialties, including nougat made with lavender honey and almonds, and lavender ice-cream, are available for tasting.
Next, visit a local lavender producer during the distillation period, learning about the production of lavender essential oils.
After this, head to Gordes, one of “the most beautiful villages in France.” Admire its castle and traditional dry-stone houses.
Your final stop is the lavender fields of the Abbey of Senanque, perfect for postcard photos with the monastic building in the background. The peaceful atmosphere concludes the tour.
You will arrive back in Marseille at 6 pm.
