We'll meet at picturesque Piazza XX Settembre square, where we'll begin our walking tour of the historic center of Martina Franca. This route will immerse us in the history of this town in the Puglia region.

We'll pass through the San Stefano Gate, one of the baroque porticoes of the ancient city walls. We'll then stroll through the street until we reach Piazza Roma square, where we'll admire the façade of the magnificent Palazzo Ducale, where the Caracciolo family once lived. We'll discuss the power that these dukes held during the glory years of Martina Franca.

We'll continue walking until we reach Piazza del Plebiscito, home to the Basilica of San Martino, built in the 18th century to replace an earlier Romanesque church. The Baroque façade of this temple is notable.

In Piazza del Plebiscito, you'll also find the University of Martina Franca and the iconic clock tower. Afterward, we will walk through the narrow streets admiring the baroque and rococo palaces. Bring your camera to capture these monuments!

After two hours of walking, we'll finish the tour next to the church of San Domenico.
