Cycle through one of Jalisco's most charming towns and discover the stunning landscapes of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains on this bike tour of Mascota.

Bike Tour of Mascota

We'll meet at the time of your choice at the entrance to the Temple of the Precious Blood. From there, we'll begin our bike tour of Mascota.

We'll cycle around this structure to explore the unfinished walls of this 19th century basilica and its gardens. We'll bike through cobblestone streets to admire Mascota's adobe houses, arriving at the main square with a Mudejar-style wrought-iron pavilion.

We'll stop in front of the Church of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores to view its baroque and neoclassical façade and three-part tower. Continuing our bike tour of Mascota, we'll reach the Archaeological Museum, displaying over 200 objects from the indigenous people of the region.

Next, we will bike up to the Cerrito de la Cruz, a hill located 1 kilometre from the center of Mascota, where we can enjoy the views of the town.

On our return to the old town, we'll stop at a traditional tavern to taste raicilla, a local mezcal drink. After two hours of cycling, we will conclude the activity back at the starting point.
