Mazatlán Whale Watching Tour + Whale Museum

Marvel at the colossal whales of the Gulf of California with this whale watching activity in Mazatlán. You'll see their dizzying leaps up close! It also includes entrance to the Whale Museum.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Mazatlán Marina. There, we'll set off on a speedboat ride in search of the impressive humpback whales that inhabit the Gulf of California.

An expert in marine biodiversity will accompany us on our whale-watching tour to help identify the creatures we see. Keep your eyes peeled as we enter the waters of the Pacific! You'll want to have your cameras ready throughout the tour.

During the tour, we may also spot other creatures such as dolphins, turtles, sea lions, and manta rays. We'll also collaborate in real monitoring projects, learning to identify different marine life and recording the behavior patterns of the whales.

Afterwards, we'll return to the harbour to finish the activity. Once back on land, we'll take you back to your hotel and say goodbye 3 hours later.

Additional Info

It is common to see whales around Mazatlán; however, sightings depend on factors such as weather and ocean currents, so we cannot guarantee the sighting of any species of whale.

Whale Museum

We'll provide you with tickets to visit the MUNBA, the Whale Museum, to learn about whales and their influence on the marine ecosystem. These tickets can be used at any time during your stay in Mazatlán and will be given at the end of the whale watching tour.
