Alvarado & Tlacotalpan Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Boca del Rio before heading south to the coastal town of Alvarado. This community is located at the mouth of the Blanco and Papaloapan rivers, primarily known for fishing. We'll stroll through the streets while the guide shares the history of Pedro de Alvarado, the city's founder.
Next, we will head to the Papaloapan River for a boat ride, where you can enjoy the lush landscapes along the banks.
We then proceed to Tlacotalpan, a fusion of Caribbean and Spanish culture. A guided tour will take us to emblematic sites like the Church of the Virgin of the Candelaria and the House-Museum of musician and poet Agustín Lara.
After the visit, we will again enjoy a boat ride on the Papaloapan River with views of the surrounding greenery.
Lastly, you'll have approximately 2 hours of free time for lunch, allowing you to savor local dishes at one of Tlacotalpan's restaurants.
After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Boca del Rio, arriving around 6 pm.
