Alvarado & Tlacotalpan Trip

At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Boca del Rio and head south to the coastal town of Alvarado. This community is located at the mouth of the Blanco and Papaloapan rivers and developed its main industry in fishing. You'll stroll through the streets while the guide shares the history of Pedro de Alvarado, founder of the city.

We then head to the Papaloapan River for a boat ride. You can enjoy the lush green landscapes along the riverbanks.

Next, we will go to the city of Tlacotalpan, a fusion of Caribbean and Spanish culture. A guided tour will take you to emblematic places such as the Church of the Virgin of the Candelaria and the House-Museum of musician and poet Agustín Lara.

After the visit, there will be approximately 2 hours of free time for lunch to savor the cuisine of Tlacotalpan at local restaurants.

After lunch, we will return to your hotel in Boca del Rio, arriving at around 6 pm.
