Beginner's Rafting Down Samaná River

Looking for a day full of adventure in Antioquia? Learn how to raft as you go down Samaná River and enjoy a perfect view of the Colombian jungle!

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Medellin, and from there, we'll journey south to San Luis in the Antioquia region.

Upon reaching the city's central park, we'll transition to our off–roading vehicle to reach the forest. Once there, we'll hike along a canyon for approximately 40 minutes to an hour.

The hike will culminate at a riverside location, where we'll begin rafting on the Samaná River. Outfitted with safety gear, we'll navigate the exciting waters aboard an inflatable raft.

As we descend through the waters for approximately 3 to 4 hours, we'll cover 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) and tackle big waves, swirling whirlpools, and thrilling rapids.

Our rafting excursion will conclude in a calm area for a picnic lunch featuring sausages and fresh, locally sourced fruits.

We'll return to San Luis by vehicle after lunch, switch transportation, and drop you off at your hotel in Medellin about 9 hours after pickup.
