On this night tour of Medellín, we will explore the city's Bohemian side and its cultural history.
Description
We will meet at the entrance to the Pablo Tobón Uribe Theatre at the scheduled time. The tour begins here with an overview of the history of theatre, music, and culture in Medellín. Following this, we will walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, known as Colombia's centre for artistic studies.
Our next stop will be Periodista Park, where we will discover numerous iconic bohemian venues, including salsa, tango, rock, and jazz bars.
We will visit the Bomboná Towers, an iconic architectural feature that was formerly a women's jail and now serves as a residence in the San Ignacio neighbourhood.
The tour will conclude as we visit two cultural houses in Medellín to learn about local entertainment forms.
After 3 hours, we will return to the starting point to end the tour.
