Guatapé Day Trip

We'll meet at the chosen meeting point and depart from Medellín heading east. The trip to Guatapé takes approximately two and a half hours, during which we will enjoy the mountainous landscapes of eastern Antioquia.

We will stop for breakfast with two options and a vegetarian choice. Next, we will visit the Piedra de El Peñol, a monolith over 200 meters (656 feet) high. You will have an hour and a half of free time to climb the 740 steps to enjoy panoramic views of the Peñol Reservoir.

We will have a traditional lunch with three dish options at a nearby restaurant. After lunch, enjoy a 40-minute boat ride on the Peñol reservoir with music and a festive atmosphere.

The final part of the trip includes a guided walking tour of Guatapé, where we'll explore its landmarks such as the Church of Our Lady of Carmen and the Plaza de los Zócalos. After the tour, you'll have an hour of free time.

We will return to Medellín after a 12-hour excursion.
