From colonial architecture to views from Peñón Rock: enjoy Guatapé on this day trip from Medellin.

Guatapé Day Trip

We'll meet at the selected meeting point. The trip to Guatapé, lasting approximately two and a half hours, includes mountainous landscapes of eastern Antioquia. On the way, we will stop for breakfast with two options and a vegetarian option along with a drink. Next, we’ll visit Piedra de El Peñol, an enormous monolith over 200 meters tall. You will have an hour and a half of free time to climb the 740 steps for panoramic views of the Peñol Reservoir.

Afterward, we will enjoy a traditional lunch with three dish options. Post-lunch, a 40-minute boat ride on the Peñol Reservoir will feature music while you admire the scenery. The final part includes a guided walking tour of Guatapé, showcasing landmarks like the Church of Our Lady of Carmen and the colorful Plaza de los Zócalos. You will have an additional hour of free time to explore the town. Following the tour, we return to Medellín after a 12-hour excursion.
