Guatapé Day Trip

We'll meet at the selected meeting point and depart Medellín to Guatapé, approximately two and a half hours away, enjoying the landscapes of eastern Antioquia. A stop will be made for breakfast, with two options and a vegetarian choice available. We will then continue to the Piedra de El Peñol, or the Rock of Peñol, where you will have an hour and a half of free time, including an opportunity to climb 740 steps for panoramic views over the Peñol Reservoir.

Afterward, we will have a full traditional lunch with three dishes to choose from. Following lunch, a 40-minute rumbero boat ride on the Peñol reservoir will allow you to enjoy music and the natural surroundings.

The tour concludes with a guided walking tour of Guatapé, visiting landmarks such as the Church of Our Lady of Carmen and Plaza de los Zócalos, followed by one hour of free time in the town. We will then return to Medellín after this 12-hour excursion.

Lunch

You will choose from three lunch menu options:

Menu 1: rice, salad, potatoes, patacón, and trout.Menu 2: same as Menu 1, but with grilled chicken.Menu 3: bandeja paisa.

A vegetarian menu is available on request, including bean soup, rice, salad, patacón, eggs, avocado, and arepas. All meals are served with aguapanela, a local drink.

Children under 4 years old go free but must have an insurance charge of 1.50EUR per child.
