Comuna 13 Street Art Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet along the Parque el Poblado to start our street art tour of Medellin. We'll board a van decorated with graffiti (graffivan) to begin our journey!
We'll visit Comuna 13, previously one of the most dangerous areas of Medellin. This tour highlights how urban art has contributed to the transformation of the commune's drug trafficking and criminal past.
The first stop features artists performing improvisations on cultural and current affairs. The tour continues to the graffiti located on the first escalators in Colombia, recognized as one of the world's longest escalators in a neighborhood.
Throughout the walk, we'll explore the stories behind this street art, conveying messages of hope and a bright future for Medellin, and promoting peace from Comuna 13 to the world.
Before concluding, we'll visit the Casa de Neón, offering a unique experience with paint and light for photo opportunities.
The tour lasts 4 hours, after which we will return to the initial meeting point.
