Medellín Cycling Tour

Do you fancy exploring the outskirts of Medellín on wheels? Saddle up and visit Envigado, Cerro El Volador or Central Mayorista de Antioquía. You choose!

Options

When booking, you can choose between three different options. All start at Floras Black Coffee in Medellín and last 3 hours. They all include an English-speaking guide and bicycle hire. Here you can see what each option involves:

Envigado tour

We'll start pedalling to Envigado along an ecological route, allowing us to admire the La Aguacatala neighbourhood before arriving at Quebrada de La Ayura. We'll continue to the fountain in La Piedra de la Ayura, where we'll discuss its history.

Then, we'll head to the Main Park in Envigado for food and nature. From here, we'll explore the centre, seeing the Public Library, Debora Arango Cultural Park, Avenida Regional and Santa Gertrudis Church, along with examples of street art honouring local artists like Fernando González and Débora Arango.

We'll end this route back at the starting point after cycling 11 kilometres (6.8 miles).

Schedule: This tour starts at 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm or 7 pm.

Cerro El Volador tour

This tour takes us to Cerro El Volador, the highest point of Medellín. We'll start by cycling south along Avenida Las Vegas, passing by Monterrey Shopping Centre, Ciudad del Río neighbourhood, and Punto Clave Shopping Centre.

We'll continue along Avenida Palace, spotting Perpetuo Socorro Church, and cycle along Avenida 33, Calle San Juan and Calle Colombia before arriving at Cerro El Volador.

At the top, we'll enjoy views of Medellín before returning to the starting point, cycling a total of 15 kilometres (9.3 miles).

Schedule: This tour starts at 8 am or 12 pm.

Central Mayorista de Antioquia tour

On this tour, we'll cycle a total of 7.5 kilometres (4.6 miles) to Central Mayorista de Antioquia. We'll enter local shops to see and purchase traditional products like homemade gifts and fresh produce.

We will enjoy a traditional lunch of beans, rice, chicharrón, salad and plantain before heading back to the starting point.
