Medellín Cycling Tour

Do you fancy exploring the outskirts of Medellín on wheels? Saddle up and visit Envigado, Cerro El Volador or Central Mayorista de Antioquía. You choose!

Options

When booking, you can choose between three different options. All start at Floras Black Coffee in Medellín and last 3 hours. They all include an English-speaking guide and bicycle hire. Here you can see what each option involves:

Envigado tour

We'll start pedaling to Envigado along an ecological route, allowing us to admire the La Aguacatala neighborhood before arriving at Quebrada de La Ayura. We'll continue the bike tour to the fountain in La Piedra de la Ayura, where we'll stop to talk about its history.

Then, we'll head to the Main Park in Envigado, perfect for a bite to eat and nature. From here, we'll explore the center, seeing sites such as the Public Library and the Debora Arango Cultural Park, the Avenida Regional and Santa Gertrudis Church. Additionally, we'll see numerous examples of street art in Envigado. We'll end this route back at the starting point after cycling 11 kilometers (6.8 miles).

Schedule: This tour starts at 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm, or 7 pm

Cerro El Volador tour

This tour to Cerro El Volador involves cycling south along Avenida Las Vegas, passing Monterrey Shopping Centre, Ciudad del Río neighborhood and Punto Clave Shopping Centre. We’ll continue down Avenida Palace, finding the Perpetuo Socorro Church, before cycling to Cerro El Volador. At the top, we'll have views of Medellín. Finally, we'll return to the starting point after cycling a total of 15 kilometers (9.3 miles).

Schedule: This tour starts at 8 am or 12 pm

Central Mayorista de Antioquia tour

On this tour, we'll cycle a total of 7.5 kilometers (4.6 miles) to Central Mayorista de Antioquia. Along the route, we'll enter local shops where you can see and purchase traditional products. After this cycling route, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch composed of beans, rice, chicharrón, salad and plantain. After lunch, we'll head back to the starting point.
