Rio Verde Trip

On our Rio Verde Trip from Medellín, we offer either a 1 or 2-day adventure in the Antioquia Department, featuring nature exploration and rafting.

Description

We will pick you up from the Masaya Hostel in Medellín and begin our journey to the mountainous Antioquia region.

In the village of Boquerón, we'll start a 1-hour hike down the canyon accompanied by mules carrying our equipment.

After the hike, a guide will provide safety instructions for our rafting adventure on Rio Verde. The route spans 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) through various rapids. We'll take a break for a picnic lunch and enjoy swimming in deep pools.

The rafting activity concludes at the Samaná River bridge, where drivers will take us back to Medellín after a total of 13 hours.

2-Day Trip

For a longer adventure, you can opt for the 2-day trip to Rio Verde during booking.

On the first day, we'll raft as described and then set up hammocks at the river's edge for the night, followed by a delicious dinner (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available).

The second day starts with a swim in the river, followed by breakfast. We will hike through the canyon and raft to explore secluded areas and waterfalls, with a picnic lunch provided.

The trip ends at the Samaná river bridge, and we expect to return to Medellín around 8 pm.

Accommodation

The 2-day trip includes a night's accommodation at a campsite with hammocks.
