In this Sugarloaf Hill trekking route, we'll walk under the night sky on this hill located in the outskirts of Santa Elena.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Arví Metrocable Station, where we can enjoy a cup of tea. We will start by walking to the Carabineros Fort to understand its historical significance before beginning our trek to Sugarloaf Hill.
During the walk, we will stop at key points, including the Llave de Piedra (the stone key), where we will learn about the conquest of the Arví Valley by the Spaniards. The sunset will provide a backdrop to our hike.
As we progress, the trail will become rockier and more challenging. We will visit two viewpoints for night photos of Santa Elena and reach the Alto de Mora, where we will discuss its connection to the brewing industry in Medellín.
At the summit of Sugarloaf Hill, you'll have time for photographs and exploration under the starry sky. Our descent will include stops at the Trece de Noviembre Metrocable Station and a visit to nearby archaeological remains.
Finally, we will return to the starting point of the route and conclude after 6 hours.
