Tour of Guatapé + Boat Ride

Discover Guatapé on this tour that will take you from the city of eternal spring to one of the region's most emblematic places. Enjoy a boat ride & see the La Piedra del Peñol rock.

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the designated meeting point in Medellin, and then journey through green landscapes to the town of Marinilla for breakfast.

Our first stop is at La Piedra del Peñol rock, 721 feet (220 meters) tall, where you will have 1.5 hours of free time to enjoy the views.

Next, we will visit the town of Guatapé, providing another 1.5 hours to explore the promenade and the famous Plaza de los Zócalos.

We will visit the Alto del Chocho farm for panoramic views and a glimpse of rural life. Afterward, lunch will consist of local dishes.

Following lunch, we will board a boat for a cruise around the Guatapé dam, viewing the ruins of Hacienda la Manuela, tied to the history of Pablo Escobar.

After the cruise, we will return to the starting point, completing the tour in 10 to 11 hours after departure.

Itinerary Adjustments

Please note that the order of the itinerary and stops, as well as meals, may be subject to change based on availability. For example, instead of visiting the Alto del Chocho farm, we may visit the replica of the Old Peñon, which recreates the area's historical village before it was flooded in the 70s.
