Discover Guatapé on this tour that will take you from the city of eternal spring to one of the region's most emblematic places. Enjoy a boat ride & see the La Piedra del Peñol rock.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we will meet at the designated meeting point in Medellin and then head through the green landscapes until we reach Marinilla. A stop for breakfast will be made here.
Our first stop is at La Piedra del Peñol rock, standing 721 feet (220 meters) tall. From the summit, enjoy 1.5 hours of free time to take in the landscapes.
Next, we will proceed to the town of Guatapé, where you will have another 1.5 hours to explore the promenade and see the famous Plaza de los Zócalos, known for its colorful houses and murals.
We will then visit the Alto del Chocho farm for panoramic views of the Antioquian landscape. Afterward, lunch consisting of typical local dishes will be provided.
Following lunch, we will board a boat for a cruise around the Guatapé dam, viewing the ruins of the Hacienda la Manuela, previously owned by Pablo Escobar. The history of this house will be shared before returning to the starting point, concluding the tour after approximately 10 to 11 hours from departure.
Itinerary Adjustments
Please note that the order and stops of the itinerary, as well as meals, may be modified based on availability. For instance, we may visit the replica of the Old Peñon instead of the Alto del Chocho farm, which recreates the village life before the area was flooded in the 70s.
