Meissen's Porcelain Museum
Meissen is home to the first porcelain factory in Europe. Visiting the Meissen's Porcelain Museum allows you to see its renowned products and the history behind them. The exhibition comprises various rooms that showcase monumental sculptures, tea sets, plates, vases, and other exquisite decorated items.
Informative panels and audiovisual materials provide insights into the brand's Eastern influences and its connections to royalty. The biography of Johann Friedrich Böttger, the noted alchemist and inventor of porcelain in Meissen, is also covered.
