Embark on an engaging bus adventure through Melbourne, where we will explore the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, and the Eureka Centre. Additionally, prepare to be awed by stunning panoramic views of the city from the Melbourne Skydeck.

Itinerary or Development

Our journey begins with a pickup at the Eureka Tower at the scheduled time. Once we have gathered, we will proceed westward from Melbourne in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus to our first destination.

The first highlight of our trip will be the breathtaking Ballarat Botanical Gardens. Here, we will meander through the grounds, taking in over 50 tree species recognized by the National Trust Significant Trees Register. As we pass through the conservatory, captivating floral exhibitions will greet us, featuring Hydrangeas during the summer months, Chrysanthemums in May, and vibrant Spring Bulbs in the springtime.

Following this, we will head to Lake Wendouree, which served as a venue for rowing and canoeing during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Today, it is a serene locale surrounded by gardens, various sculptures, and a diverse range of bird species. We will have the chance to leisurely stroll around this picturesque lake and seek out some of the 166 diverse wildlife species that inhabit the area, including the graceful Black Swans.

Next, we will arrive at Sovereign Hill, where you can truly immerse yourself in the atmosphere of an 1850 Goldfields town at this open-air museum. Engage with numerous activities, such as gold panning, exploring underground mines, and watching traditional craft demonstrations, including candle making and blacksmithing. Dressing in period costumes and enjoying a horse-drawn carriage ride is also an option. Additionally, there will be time to savor lunch at your leisure.

Our itinerary will then take us to the Eureka Centre, where we’ll delve into the cultural significance of the gold rush and the rebellion of the miners. The museum features captivating exhibits and interactive displays, encompassed by the historic Eureka Stockade Memorial Park.

Concluding our excursion, we will journey back to the Eureka Tower and finish our day at the Melbourne Skydeck. Here, we will be rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the city. After ascending to the 88th floor via the fastest lift in the Southern Hemisphere, we will relish the incredible view from a height of 300 metres (984 feet)!
