Join us on this bus tour of Melbourne, visiting the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, and the Eureka Centre. We will also view Melbourne from the Melbourne Skydeck.
Description
On the day of the activity, you will be picked up from Eureka Tower at the specified time. We will then travel west from Melbourne aboard an air-conditioned bus to our first destination.
The first stop is the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, where we will stroll among over 50 trees listed on the National Trust Significant Trees Register. During this walk, we will see floral displays, including Hydrangeas in Summer, Chrysanthemums in May, and Spring Bulbs in Spring.
Next, we will visit Lake Wendouree, the venue for rowing and canoeing at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. You can enjoy the gardens and spot some of the 166 different wildlife species in the area, including Black Swans.
Afterwards, we will explore Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum depicting an 1850 Goldfields town. Activities include gold panning, mine tours, and demonstrations of traditional crafts. Lunch options will also be available.
Our next stop is the Eureka Centre, where we will learn about the cultural impact of the gold rush and the miner’s rebellion. The museum features engaging exhibits and is set in Eureka Stockade Memorial Park.
On our return to Eureka Tower, we will conclude the tour at the Melbourne Skydeck, where we will take the lift to the 88th floor and enjoy views from 300 metres (984 feet) high.
