Sovereign Hill, Botanical Gardens & Melbourne Skydeck Tour

Join us on this bus tour of Melbourne, including visits to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, and the Eureka Centre, with breathtaking views from the Melbourne Skydeck.

Description

On the day of the activity, pick-up will be from Eureka Tower at the specified time. We will head west out of Melbourne in an air-conditioned bus to our first location.

The first stop is the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, where you'll find over 50 trees listed on the National Trust Significant Trees Register and seasonal floral displays, including Hydrangeas in Summer, Chrysanthemums in May, and Spring Bulbs in Spring.

Next, we'll visit Lake Wendouree, once a venue for the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. This area offers gardens, sculptures, and various bird species. Take a leisurely walk around the lake and look for 166 wildlife species, including Black Swans.

Then we will explore Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum mimicking an 1850 Goldfields town. Activities include panning for gold, touring mines, traditional craft demonstrations, and a chance to dress in period clothing while enjoying a horse and coach ride. Lunch will also be available here.

Afterward, we visit the Eureka Centre to learn about the gold rush's cultural impact and the miner’s rebellion. The museum features engaging exhibits and is located near the Eureka Stockade Memorial Park.

Finally, we will return to Eureka Tower and conclude our tour at the Melbourne Skydeck. Experience views of Melbourne from the 88th floor, at a height of 300 metres (984 feet), after taking the fastest lift in the Southern Hemisphere.
