Description
Join us for a bus tour of Melbourne, featuring the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, and the Eureka Centre. The journey begins with a pickup from Eureka Tower at the scheduled time, followed by a trip west on an air-conditioned bus.
Our first destination is the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, where we will explore over 50 trees on the National Trust Significant Trees Register. The conservatory showcases seasonal floral displays, including Hydrangeas in Summer, Chrysanthemums in May, and Spring Bulbs in Spring.
Next, we will visit Lake Wendouree, the site of rowing and canoeing events during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Visitors can enjoy gardens, sculptures, and observe various bird species, including 166 wildlife species such as the Black Swans.
Afterward, we will continue to Sovereign Hill, a reconstructed 1850 Goldfields town. Activities include gold panning, underground mine tours, and traditional craft demonstrations like candle making and blacksmithing. There are options for dressing in period clothing and horse and coach rides, along with time for lunch.
Our next visit will be the Eureka Centre, focusing on the cultural impact of the gold rush and miners' rebellion. The museum features engaging exhibits and is located near the Eureka Stockade Memorial Park.
We conclude our tour with a visit to the Melbourne Skydeck, where we'll take the fastest lift in the Southern Hemisphere to the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower, offering views from 300 meters (984 feet) above Melbourne.
