Hiking in Castro Laboreiro

We will be waiting for you at the time of your choosing at the campsite of Lamas de Mouro, on the outskirts of Castro Laboreiro. From this point, we will start our hiking tour.

This location within the Pene-Gerês National Park preserves millenary traditions such as transhumance. We will learn about herds and grazing as we explore the slope connected to the plateau.

Along the way, we will visit the remains of a large megalithic complex, traverse black oak forests, cross bridges from different eras, and admire the mountains of the national park. Look closely, and you will see the Castle of Castro Laboreiro, founded in the 10th century, which served as a defense against Galician troops.

After a two-hour hike, we will head back to the starting point, ending the experience.
