Witness the awe-inspiring Andean landscapes of the Aconcagua Provincial Park on this trip from Mendoza and see the rich wilderness between Argentina and Chile!
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Mendoza before driving east along the National Route 7 towards the border area with Chile.
During a three-hour drive, we will enjoy traditional pancakes and a beverage, choosing between mate, coffee, or tea. Along the way, we will pass through the Andean village of Cacheuta, see the Potrerillos Reservoir, and the Cordón del Plata mountain range.
The excursion continues through the villages of Uspallata and Horcones until we reach the Puente del Inca, where we hear the legend of this monument. After this, we will head to the Aconcagua Provincial Park Visitors' Center.
We then set off on an easy 2.5-hour trek to 10,000 ft above sea level. Along the route, we will encounter sites like the Horcones Lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno Bridge. Here, we will stop for a picnic lunch with Carne Criolla empanadas, fruits, alfajores, sweets, and wine from Mendoza.
Afterward, we will return to the visitor's center, then back to the hotel in Mendoza, arriving around 10 hours after pickup.
