Cordon del Plata Provincial Park Trek

Pick up at your hotel in Mendoza is scheduled between 7:30 am and 8 am. We will drive along National Route 7 to the towns of Cacheuta and Potrerillos, with a brief stop to view the reservoir at Potrerillos.

Next, we will enjoy traditional empanadas from Mendoza and a flavorful infusion as we head to the Vallecitos ski resort in the heart of Cordón del Plata Provincial Park. The trek of moderate difficulty will last approximately 6.5 hours and reach an altitude of 12,600 feet above sea level.

We will hike through the Quebrada de Arenales gorge to the summits of Pico Andresito and Cerro Arenales, observing local wildlife. The trek continues to Cerro Lomas Blancas, offering a view of the Cordón del Plata range. A picnic lunch will be provided, including sandwiches or empanadas, fruit, alfajores, and sweets.

The descent through the Morenas Coloradas valley will begin after lunch. The trek concludes at the Vallecitos ski resort at 4 pm, followed by a return to your hotel in Mendoza, arriving between 5:30 pm and 6 pm.

Hotel pick up occurs in the following areas of Greater Mendoza: Mendoza, Godoy Cruz, Guaymallén, Lujan de Cuyo, and Maipú.
