Enjoy the fauna of Costa Rica in this bird and sloth-watching activity in San José. We'll walk through urban forests to check out the animals that live there and learn interesting facts about the species we see.

San José Sloth & Birdwatching

At the time of your choice, we'll meet on Calle La Cruz to start a tour that will allow us to enjoy the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. During the activity, we'll visit two urban parks to see the birds and sloths that live there.

We'll spend an hour touring the first forest, where we'll observe the dozens of birds that inhabit this place. We'll also use a spotting scope to get a closer look at more hidden animals.

We'll share various curiosities about the different birds and discuss the insects and tropical flowers that populate San José.

Next, we'll proceed to the second park, belonging to the University of Costa Rica. As we walk through the campus grounds, we'll spot several sloths while discussing their slow metabolism and other facts.

After two and a half hours of exploring, we'll say goodbye at the starting point.
