On this offroading tour in Acanceh, we'll depart from Merida to explore the Maya archaeological remains of this town.

Tour Options

You have two options for this quad tour in Acanceh, both including transportation, an English-speaking guide, vehicle and helmet rental, and bottled water:

Day Tour (4.5 hours)

We will gather at Santa Ana Park and depart for a half-hour drive to Acanceh. The tour starts with an introduction to the route and ATV driving. We will leave from the Plaza de las Tres Culturas towards the Acanceh Ruins.

We will see the Temple of the Masks and learn about its historical significance. The adventure continues past the Palace of the Stuccoes and into the Observatory, then onto a dirt road to an old hacienda.

After the exploration, we will return to Acanceh and then back to Merida.

Night tour (5.5 hours)

The night tour offers the same route but with evening views. After exploring the hacienda, we will visit a local community for a delightful dinner featuring a typical Yucatecan dish. We will return to Acanceh and then to Mérida.

Departure times are as follows:

Day tour: 9 am, 11:30 am, or 2 pmNight tour: 5:30 pm

Requirements

To participate, please note these requirements:

Minimum age to drive is 12 years old; for passengers, it is 3 years old.Minimum height is 1.20 meters (4 feet); maximum weight is 140 kilos (308 pounds).Two people can share a quad without exceeding the total weight limit.
