Day Trip Details
The tour begins with a pickup at Paseo 60 in Mérida, followed by a journey of 1 hour and 40 minutes to the ancient Mayan city of Chichén Itzá.
Upon arrival, enjoy a 1-hour guided tour of the archaeological site. Highlights include the pyramid dedicated to the God Kukulkán, known as El Castillo, and the Temple of the Warriors, adorned with scenes of warfare. Other notable structures include El Osario, which features a cave, and El Caracol observatory, showcasing Mayan astronomical advancements. After the guided tour, you will have 1 hour of free time to explore and take photos.
The next stop is the Xcajum Cenote for 2 hours, where you can swim in its clear waters. It is advisable to bring a bathing suit and towel. The trip concludes with a buffet-style lunch featuring local dishes such as roast chicken or pork, rice, beans, and handmade tortillas.
Finally, you will return to Mérida, where the tour will end approximately 9 to 10 hours after departure.
