Discover a picturesque Yucatecan town on this day trip to Izamal from Merida, including visits to Valladolid and Chichen Itza.
Description
We'll meet at your chosen pickup point in Merida at the scheduled time and set off for Valladolid for a 1-hour panoramic tour of its streets, acknowledging it as the third most populated city on the Yucatan peninsula.
During the tour, we will visit key monuments, including the fortified convent of San Bernardino de Siena and the Cathedral of San Gervasio.
After Valladolid, a short break will allow us to enjoy a buffet-style lunch at a local restaurant featuring various traditional Yucatan dishes.
Next, we will visit Chichen Itza, a World Heritage Site, observing its temples, the ball game area, the observatory, and other significant structures.
Our final destination will be Izamal, a Pueblo Mágico known as "Mexico's yellow city." Here, we'll have a 1.5-hour tour of the historic center, including the Convent of San Antonio de Padua, built by Franciscan monks atop Maya pyramids.
We will return to Merida, arriving back 12 hours later.
