Discover a picturesque Yucatecan town on this day trip to Izamal from Merida. Plus, we'll also visit Valladolid and the famous archaeological site, Chichen Itza!

Description

We'll meet at the pickup point in Merida of your choosing at the scheduled time, then set off for Valladolid for a panoramic tour of its streets. Valladolid is the third most populated city on the Yucatan peninsula.

During the 1 hour tour, we'll see significant monuments, such as the fortified convent of San Bernardino de Siena and the Baroque-style Cathedral of San Gervasio.

After visiting Valladolid, we'll take a break for a buffet-style lunch at a local restaurant featuring various traditional Yucatan dishes.

Next, we will visit Chichen Itza, a World Heritage Site. You'll see its different temples, the ball game area, the observatory, and other constructions.

Our last stop will be in Izamal, a designated "Pueblo Mágico" noted for its color. We'll enjoy a 1.5 hour tour of the historic center, including the Convent of San Antonio de Padua, built by Franciscan monks on top of Maya pyramids.

Finally, we'll return to Merida, arriving back at the meeting point 12 hours later.
