Day Trip to Chichén Itzá, Izamal, & the Xcajum Cenote

Join us to discover Mayan culture on a day trip to Chichén Itzá, the Xcajum Cenote, and the Magical Village of Izamal.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at Hidalgo Park in Merida to begin our journey to Chichén Itzá. During the 1.5-hour trip, a general overview of Mayan culture will be provided. Upon arrival at the Chichén Itzá archaeological site, you will have a 1-hour visit with guides of Mayan heritage, followed by 1 hour of free time to explore the ruins.

Next, we will travel to the Xcajum Cenote, where you can swim in its crystal-clear waters and enjoy this sacred spot for a few hours. A buffet-style lunch featuring typical Yucatecan dishes will be provided afterward.

After lunch, we will head to Izamal, where you will learn about this Magical Village. Upon arrival, we will explore its streets adorned with yellow houses, visit the Kinich Kak Mo Mayan temple, and the San Antonio de Padua Convent.

Finally, we will conclude this 10.5-hour day trip by returning to Merida.
