Day Trip to Las Coloradas & Rio Lagartos

Join us on this captivating day trip from Merida to Las Coloradas and Rio Lagartos, where you'll encounter crocodiles and flamingos and be enchanted by the pink waters.

The adventure begins at the scheduled time at the Paseo 60 shopping mall. We will depart on a minibus towards Las Coloradas and Rio Lagartos, leaving Merida behind.

After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, our first stop will be the Las Coloradas reserve. The waters exhibit distinctive hues of yellow, orange, and pink due to high concentrations of salt and algae.

We will embark on a 1.5-hour hiking route through the area to explore its unique features.

The next highlight is a boat ride in Rio Lagartos, where you can see local wildlife, including crocodiles and flamingos in their natural habitat.

After a two-hour boat excursion along the Lagartos River, you'll be offered a traditional Maya bath with white mud, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

At the end of our twelve-hour adventure, you will be transported back to the starting point in Merida.
