Come with us on this day trip to the Mucuyché Hacienda to relive the splendour of Yucatán's Henequen Era. We'll have a guided tour of the estate and you'll even get to take a dip in its majestic cenotes.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Merida and make our way to the Mucuyché Hacienda, located in Abalá. This journey takes approximately 1 hour.

We will start a guided tour of the Mucuyché Hacienda, whose name in the indigenous language means 'tree of the dove'. The estate has a 17th-century history tied to the Henequen industry. After a long period of closure, the hacienda has undergone minimal restorations, preserving its authentic beauty.

After the tour, enjoy 3 hours of free time to explore the cenotes around the estate. Swim in the Carlota Cenote, a semi-open cenote with a depth of up to 7 metres (23 feet), named after Empress Carlota, who visited in 1865. You will also be able to explore the Azul Maya Cenote. To travel between cenotes, you can cross a canal by swimming or walking along a stone path.

We will then return to Merida and conclude the trip at your hotel after this 6-hour day trip.
