Hampolol + Campeche Excursion

Description

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Mérida at the scheduled time to begin this trip to Campeche and Hampolol. Our first stop will be at Hampolol, visiting the Ich Xa Lol Xaan Ecoturistic Centre, which features 2 cenotes. Here, you can explore the Verde River and its 2 saltwater marshes.

Next, we will head to the city of Campeche to learn about the privateers' era in Mexico. We will visit the San José el Alto and San Miguel Fort and Museum, where we will discuss historical events related to the city's defense against pirate attacks. We will explore the fortifications and enjoy views of Campeche.

Finally, we will visit the historic center of Campeche, where you will have free time to try local food, admire colonial architecture, and stroll through the cobblestone streets. You can also enjoy a sunset on the boardwalk with views of the Gulf of Mexico. The tour will conclude 10 hours later back in Mérida.
